The code of the game was so old that it was nearly impossible to maintain, and without the issues being fixed there were not enough new players to pay for the servers.

While I cant maintain the old code base, I'm compelled to make something new and not do it alone this time.

I've recruited a small team to build a new game, unrelated to the brand: Pokémon but improving upon every aspect of the creature capture genre.

Code Name: The Genome Project

• Leverage a sophisticated DNA system with over 2 trillion unique creatures, to influence over 1,000 unique battle moves, unlocked through genetic manipulation, creating virtually limitless strategic combinations.
• Engage in rigorous competitive seasons that refresh every three months, challenging players to adapt their strategies continuously. Seasons end in a tournament of the top trainers which crowns each seasons battle leader.
• Strategic Battle System: Combines elements of Pokémon with Yu-Gi-Oh card battles, where creatures’ actions are influenced by their genetic traits and the strategic choices of their trainers.
• Creature Habitats: Players can customize their laboratory spaces aboard their starship, tailoring, adding rooms, reconfiguring layouts, adding appliances to optimize the output of their lab.
• Target platform is PC Release on Steam.
